... could've been at church all on its own. Luckily jonathan caught out of the corner of his eye stairway that lead down to the crypt. Down there were more intricate and detailed burial sites and yet another church within the church. There were also many paintings from as far back as the 15th century and super cool historical pieces from the church like robes the old Cardinals had worn that were woven with gold thread. It wasn't a long way from Brugge to Brussels but we stopped in Ghent for a short visit. It was a larger town than I expected with many fine old buildings and churches. Also a number of canals there, but unlike Brugge the town and canals were rather dirty and the trams did not seem to blend well with the street scape. Arrived in Brussels in time for lunch in the old town and found the most magnificent ...

As I was staying at my Uncle and Aunts home, I had the great opportunity to visit with my cousins who live in the towns surrounding the city of Gent.
On Tuesday night we all met in the Center of Gent at a Suriname restaurant that also doubles as a Bed and Breakfast.
It is called Faja Lobi and it is a funky and fun restaurant. The Live Band really added to the lively and fun atmosphere.
    My cousin Laurence and ...
