... be unable to see it! The next day was Sunday and John spent a futile morning searching for an open supermarket to buy a few basics, but they were all closed - they certainly observe the Sabbath here more than anywhere else we've been so far! Luckily he found a small Spar open - must be owned by heathens. After lunch we visited one of the extinct ...

We would stop along the way some where for lunch in a park or a Chateau. The cruising along the canals was incredible especially going through the locks. One part took us over one of the longest viaduct in Europe at a place called Briare where we stayed for the night. The first couple of days was heavy going but my knees and legs settled down that ...
Clermont-Ferrand, Auvergne, France caroladele... evening, and met with many showers There was nothing much to capture our interest and the weather was offputting so we continued south, stopping in a rest area for some lunch and a break. Our journey took us via Nevers, Moulins and Thiers. It was after this that the countryside started to get dramatic. We were definitely on/in the Massif Central, and the views were spectacular at times. When we got to Olliergues, we saw a ...

Taking my leave, I drove off to find a hotel for the night, and worked for a few hours while waiting for my second visit in Vichy. Hervé Dubois came by the hotel at 7:00 pm and we drove to a restaurant a ways down the road. It's a western themed restaurant called Buffalo Grill. The greeter was dressed in a long Doc Holliday ...
Vichy, Auvergne, France joelmeekerOn Le Weekend we met a group of the French kids and clearly they fell in love with us. So shortly after that weekend they wanted to party with us again as soon as they could. And did we ever. Quentin had a number of us over to get to know us a little better. A couple 40s later we were much better acquainted. It was the start of a beautiful friendship.
Vichy, France beccx... like it. So we met up with some friends at the club that we had met in Vichy, and been hanging out with since we got here. Kate, Chelsea and I decided to go back to their house to drink some more around 4 am. We just sat there chilled, and drank some more. Its funny to have conversations with them since they know little English and we know little French. We finally passed out around 8am. By noon everyone was up and ready to go. We headed back to Mac Do's for some lunch...I ...
Clermont Ferrand, France beccx... Very cute, very clean. That night I met up with some people from my class, very randomly and we went to the Horse Races at the Hippdrome. It was pretty neat, and everyone was pretty cool. They had a heard of begals come out too, with guys on horses dressed in traditional English hunting outfits too. It really made me miss Kosmo. That night we headed to Le Gloulais. That's our pub. They love us there.
Vichy, France beccxWell, all unpacked now and even have some groceries, so I thought I should get started with the Travel Journal or whatever this is called. On Friday we walked around the city to buy a few things (including a delicious baguette-see in pics, haha) and to explore. There's a few streets that have tons of stores of all kinds which is nice ...
