ok, it was more "collecting a new country" than being really interested in Monaco. Strange, when you go there from Nice airport by bus it costs you 18 € one way, when you go from Nice bus terminal it costs 1 € one way. Monaco is a very clean city. I have never seen so many big and expensive cars. I saw the casino and the castle. Nice, but not spectacular.
Monaco, Monaco tilman... have an amazing view from Colline du Chateau. On saturday (November 28) we had sunshine and 19 degrees (end of November) and I was even swimming in the sea (15 gegrees), on sunday, November 29 we had rain and thunderstorms so that caused a delay of the plane of three hours. Best breakfast in town you find in "Les pains a tables" close to the market. Nice is a city I´d love to visit once a year minimum.....
Nice, Provence, France tilman... Not only have the donations received already far exceeded my expectations, but the kind words and general interest and support that I have received have been amazing. So thank you all. It is all very much appreciated and I can't believe that between us we really will change these little lives. It is my motto here in Antibes, but this is the ultimate "think globally; act locally ...
Antibes, Provence, France marianner... messy or smelly with is good since it's my job to clean Theo out. I have coined the phrase "Feeding Theo" as a euphemism for going to the loo which Kim thinks is gross!! But I'm sure she'll be using the term in no time ;-) Gas... not bad flatulence We filled up our two 4.5kg gas bottles before we left London. The rest of Europe do not use UK calor gas bottles so at some stage we will have to buy a EU standard gas bottle - the only standard bottle is Campingaz which is ...
Les Arcs sur Argens, Provence, France darrenhough74... to Nice to our hotel.
The next day we had a full free day of wandering and sight-seeing. We walked along the Promenade des Anglais and climbed to the top of a cliffside to take in the breathtaking views of the promenade, the azure blue ocean and its beachfront and the old town from Parc du Chateau. We took heaps of photos then spent most of the afternoon chillaxing. In the evening we had a really nice dinner ...
... French Riviera is all that its cracked up to be, absolutely gorgeous views, the water was so blue and clear, and relatively warm in comparison to Melb beaches, and had it been a few degrees warmer, we probably would have dared a swim. Ah well. There's always Barcelona! But seriously Nice is absolutely lovely, and apparently 17 and overcast here translates as not a cloud in the bluest sky we've ever seen, with sun shining.... life's tough aye...
With the lovely weather (in comparison ...
On the morning of July 13, we visited a French perfumery, and saw how they produced handmade perfumes, soaps, and other beauty products. It was pretty cool to see how it all worked. After the perfumery, we were dropped off in the city of Nice for a free day. Camolyn and I decided to hike up to see Le Chateau, ruins which are located on a large hill in the city. It was pretty hot that day, and there were a lot of ...
Monaco, Monaco mc01...
Nice, France oyvindsandve... was in full swing. Our first class of the day was Compartive Consumer Products Liabiltiy with Professor Norman Silber, a very accomplished professor and consumer rights advocate. I probably enjoy this class a little more than Jera as it is a very student oriented, open, conversational class. International Business Transactions is also a fairly participatory class, but Professor Ku tends to lecture or teach in a more classic style ...
Nice, France aragan... it. yikes. but I got drunk anyway and we danced on tables there except my head hit the roof cause, well, the roof was too low. :) then we got lost going back to the hotel and that was it. i really tried to carry on the tradition of the Nice makeout on the rock on the beach a la shauna and cassie (serparately) did. i even saw the rock and everything, but it turns out being picky about who you kiss is a bad thing. I finally had ...
