... the concert I walked to a Gasthaus that I had passed on numerous occasions, but iot had been closed for a period of time for remodeling. ... booths with some wreaths and other Holiday decorations. One that I found very interesting had large branches of mistletoe. There were also numerous street performers ranging from a Russian trio with two balalaika and an accordion, a South American performer playing a variety of wooden flutes, solo guitarists and the interesting animated animal orchestra. My Last Month in Germany

... and also a bottle of Spätburgunder Federweißer (red new wine). I had to be careful carrying it home as it was still quite actively bubbling from the yeast and I could not tightly cap it. In the evening I had dinner at the apartment and enjoyed a piece of cheesecake with the Federweißer.

As I come to the end of my first week in Freiburg, I now have only 30 days remaining until I depart to return home.
