... two hours.

When we finally walked home we discovered that we had walked thirteen hours all together though out our day. We were BEAT!!!!! We showered and came downstairs so we could recharge items and plan for the next day.

... br> Anyhow, lunch was eaten down the street at a boulangerie. I ate a ham & cheese sandwich and a small crepe for dessert. Then we went to meet up a Mining classmate, Fares! It has been a great stroke of luck/coincidence that we are in Paris at the same time. He showed us around the Pagille neighborhood. The area had a lot of people going around with bracelets to sell. Apparently they initially say it is free, but then ask for money ...

... Luckily it stopped raining a few minutes later. Starving we picked up some crepes and a hotdog panini and continued to the Louvre. The Louvre had its own set of challenges when we arrived but we were able to take some pretty sweet pics of the pyramid and enter with 2 hours to cover like a mile of art. Although this wasn't much time we saw the Mona Lisa, Venus de milo and Ramses II. All amazing to actually see in person. The architecture was spectacular and it was ...

... had a magnum of Pol cold and ready to go, well it would have been rude not to! Fois gras, tapenade and crostini with oven roasted tomato prosciutto and pesto to share then duck breast and sautéed potatoes for both me and Jeff. Today we started off browsing at Gallerie Lafayette; it's a very up market store that has a beautiful domed ceiling. I gather many tourists come here as the view of the city is also great from the cafe. Emmy and I did purchase a Jean Paul Hevin Macaroon and it did melt in the mouth.
