... for breakfast. Yum. Then a 700m drag to the car, which was still parked where we left it. Drove to the Roman-built aqueduct section at Pont Du Gard. Wow that was seething to see. Last section 300m long; and used to be 52kms. Hard to believe that humans built it, and 2,500 years ago. Then drove in a round about fashion out west, ending in ...

It was staffed by nuns and later had rooms added to take care of wealthy people to help pay the bills. This hospital ran for 550 years! It closed for good in 1971, when the last patient left. ... was beautiful and had a serene church at the top where we all went in and Phillipe sang to us! Afterwards we headed down the hill to the beach on the lake where we had icecream and a drink before wandering along the shore. When we got home the boys and Geoff had a swim with Philippe, Sandrine and the other children. They played a game of volleyball in the pool and everyone had a fun time. It was after 8pm when they all ...

... had a terrine followed by steak. We headed back to the car along a beautiful tree lined walkway that ran along the river and then headed back to the motorway. I drove for a couple of hours to break it up for Geoff until we needed petrol and we switched back again. It was about 5.30pm when we arrived at La Charpiniere, a hotel in St Galmier and received the message from Sandrine to come to dinner at her ...
