    Friday 30 October. Left Bordeaux and headed for Jarnac. Not a long drive. Very pretty countryside, parts of it looked familiar. Bit like coming home, which after two months is looking good. It will certainly be great to take the bags out of the car and not have to put them all back in the morning. Stopped at the supermarket and got some milk and headed for 3 Allee Grand Maisons.     ... our purple A line back to the hotel. Whilst here we had a day trip to Arcachon. A beautiful seaside resort on the coast an hour from Bordeaux. We wandered and we wandered, and we wandered. Anyway, to cut a really long story short, they got it fixed, Ian brought us down some hot chips, the bags got packed in again and we gave Segovia a miss and headed for Zamora where we'd booked our first night.
