Went for a walk to the old part of Orcet this morning, lots of narrow winding streets no wider than a small car, really quirky with a large church in the centre. Took the dogs for a walk down some leafy lanes, quote a nice stopover and the sunshine certainly helps. We hit Spain tomorrow as we continue South

... make the time fly, we stopped off a services somewhere in south France and got our table out and had a very civilised lunch. ... One of the exits said La Bourboule so we entered that and found a Gite BandB that looked nice. Then we discovered that La Bourboule was miles away, up the top of a mountain. It took ages and we got there at about 7.15pm. The BandB is lovely and the village is really pretty.
Back In mountain country and back to mountain food. We all ordered saussicon with my favourite blue d'Auvergne cheese. Turns out it was a potato bake with the sausage and cheese through it. ...
After a long and tiring journey we arrived at our campsite. Weather is lovely so went for an uphill walk in the evening. Just enjoying a beer in the bar now. Day by the pool tomorrow me thinks. Did a little reading by the van after breakfast and then dozed off. After lunch went and had a dip in the pool. After some much needed sunbathing we decided to have a game of tennis - Sue cheated of course! Sat in the shade now with cool beer ...
... told us of the local dish which was to be the evening dinner special it was called Truffade. We later on went with that, it consisted of potatoe fried with bacon in Cantelle cheese , basically a fondue served with a crisp green salad and procuitto on the side, the idea was to mix it all up on your plate and man it was good.
