The hotel has great view of the marine, from the 5th and 6th floors. The rooms are basic, but the location is good. Breakfast was very good and exceeded our expectations.

We wanted to have a day or so on a campsite. It's a bit more relaxing than an aire and you get more space. We also wanted to go into Bordeaux and there aren't any suitable aires. Then into Bordeaux. Drove to the park and ride and then tram into the city. What a ...

Off we went nervously hoping, wishing and praying for a non eventful trip. Getting out of Geneva was stressful, because the GPS wasn't working at first. We have particularly enjoyed food shopping, probably Gayle more than Stephen, it is just super fun to wander around a street market or hyper market (very large supermarket with butchery, bakery, cheese counter the size ...

... it was time for an ice cream cone, and then a nap and then dinner at a place very near the apartment. The duck was excellent served with a fig sauce and very crispy golden potatoes. For dessert we ordered the cafe gourmand, a plate with tiny portions of different desserts and a cup of coffee, the perfect way to end a meal and our last night in Arcachon. Tomorrow we are going to another beach resort on the Atlantic called La Baule.
