    ... There were a lot of good looking restaurants cafés in the area we'd just come from but we didn't want to change for dinner, preferring to eat and go back to the hotel. While dining we used the internet, including for a time our hotel Wifi. The variability of wifi access across Europe bemuses us and it shouldn't be assumed that higher priced accommodation will have better access.     We then had a walk around Perpignan. It isn't a big city. But being a medieval city and there being a settlement dating back to roman times, it does have character. It is also a big Rugby stronghold and there are reminders of the city Rugby team, USA Perpignan, everywhere.

    ... in Vinca, then went back to the Chateau to collect the others and drive them into Perpignan to the airport - 40 min away. We had a 10 min wait for the train, then 30 min on the train. The train fare was only 1 Euro each. . There is limited parking areas so they are trying to encourage more travel by public transport.     Up at 6.30am since we all slept in. Was exhausted from yesterday's effort so slept soundly. One of the men has a swollen foot and ankle. It started getting sore in Paris, but has become worse. Last night Jade took him to the hospital and he has cellulitis. Had to go and find a chemist this morning to have the prescription filled.
