We took a walk into the local village, Capmany, this morning, found the cafè/bar and got an ice cream and found the deli and got lunch, a nice walk around the narrow streets before we headed back to the site. After lunch we had a game of pétanque and chilled out in the sun. This evening we will pack up ready for our move tomorrow for the first of our longer stays.

Space is at a premium in these little towns so buildings are pressed together, making it hard to for us to actually see our hotel. We were greeted by an elderly lady who spoke no English and a Fawlty Towers type interaction ensued. Later a more hip woman gave us the ...

... Irish married to an Italian (living in Spain) ???? She was a large lady with her own style, happy and definitely in charge - but loved by her staff and regulars I would think ! At Hostel Vehi before we left for dinner we saw some small squares of spongecake? Being pan fried in ? On our return we got to taste these super sweet treats - they were sitting in small patty cake type holders soaked in liquor and honey - rich but ...
