    This morning we did the Rick Steves walking tour of Colmar. It is such a charming place. There is a fantastic and huge market place with fresh meats, fish, cheeses, sweets, and other "produits de Alsace". We enjoyed it. Then we decided to take the car to a couple more nearby villages, Eguisheim and Turckheim. Eguisheim was recently voted one of "the most beautiful villages in France". It was certainly charming!     ... This had several autumn fruits in it. It truly was delicious. We then had almond ice cream with quince and walnuts. Finally they brought us several chocolate truffles to pick from. We both nursed the bottle of red wine throughout the whole meal. We have never had anything like this before and it was a great experience. We truly treated ourselves.
