Amboise is in a good central location for visiting the chateaux of the Loire River valley. The Hotel Bellevue is in a wonderful location for sightseeing around Amboise. We had a very nice room with a terrace that we shared with 4 other rooms. Breakfast was good, the staff was friendly and they had a nice bar/restaurant. We found the hotel listed in the Rick Steves Guide book.

Ended the day in Brehemont, after a few miles of treacherous driving, thanks SatNAv!!. Beautiful campsite, although a little oddity with the toilet paper, one roll for three toilets, you must guess what you need and take it in with you!!

Lesson learned in the pub, don’t ask for a small and a large beer, large is ½ pint, small is ...

We save the best for last - visiting the incredible Chateau de Chenonceau built spanning the River Cher in the 16th Century. The architecture of this castle is unique in the world, and it is the most visited in the Loire Valley. It is well furnished, and has so many gorgeous original artworks that it qualifies as an art museum in its own right.

After exploring the gardens and the castle ...

... at Paul, a french bakery, that was selling tasty looking sandwiches.

Two hours later (yeah, I know, every gap of time seems to be consisted of 2 hours but it's really coincidental), we took the TGV to go to Tours. We were all very excited to see our correspondents again and couldn't wait to arrive, so to make time pass faster, we played games, listened to music and ate again....

Once she started to go through roll call she (and many other people) had a little difficulty pronouncing my name. It sounds so much like "merci" that she ended up calling me that meaning my new name is basically "thank you" haha. After class we all ventured out into Place Plum again for lunch. We only had a little bit today to save room for the cooking class we were ...
