      ... penpal project, working around teaching in Surgeres. Lydia is so good that way, she said I can drop into class anytime to do that with the kids. And I know she really doesn’t mind at all.

      My First week in Surgeres went quite well. It will be a bit different working in this school than the others. Most teachers will have me take half the class, which is normal for Courcon as well, but I will take them for the whole hour instead of 25-30 ...

      ... skinny rope, they kept adding to it by using this specific “machine” that twisted the little ropes together, making a big rope. There were all sorts of different sizes of course, but like I said before, the ropes were super long and stretched out throughout the whole length of the building. As the rope is twisted, the length becomes quite a bit shorter. There were cute little models that went along with the explanation too that I took pictures ...

      ... one was the also very famous Galette des Rois, which is eaten with friends come the first Sunday after January 1. There is always a little king figurine in the cake and whoever eats the cake piece with the figurine gets to wear the crown that also comes with the cake.
