Getting closer to the Cote d'Azur in Montpellier, although this city is not built right on the French Riviera, it is close enough to be able to travel to a beach for an afternoon and get your Fall tan on.

We quite liked this city….however had an interesting experience with our "hostel." To keep it short, I’m glad I was not by myself, as this guy checking us in totally creeped me out, and everyone else for that matter. He wanted the payment in ...

Pack up at gite as we have to leave today. Goodbye to lovely grandparents, Pirette and Serge and the rest of family at Ecole de Saint Roman. We cannot go too far as Patrick has a dentist appointment for a broken tooth later this afternoon. So Aigues-Mortes again, this time to walk the ramparts. When we arrive we are not allowed to take the dogs with us. Too hot to leave them in the car. Nothing is going right! Sulky lunch then off to dentist. Dentist, ...

Patrick pedals all the way back to the ...

The history of this village centres on the Cathars and is perched on a rocky hilltop, with a deep limestone gorge below. Thankfully, tourism has not yet spoiled it too much, retaining much of its original architecture, and sufficient discreet interpretation material to get around, as well as the unique Museum ...

Sète

We arrived around 2 at Sète and looked around for a camping, the nearest was around 10 km at Frontignan on the beach so we went there and got settled. The place on it self was not fantastic but ok for one afternoon and night, camping clean, with all necessities, quite, only 17€ and with wifi. We stayed on the beach for a couple of hours and read "Inferno" (great). Had some ...
