... feeling great so we don't have much to report from here, we decided to leave after 3 nights as the weather was pretty bad and there was nothing in the forecast to say it was going to improve in the near future....

... the winners from our contest to stay with us in Aix. As avid blog readers they placed entries in the system...and when they were selected all they had to do was pay their own airfares, accomodation and train conections....our presence is no charge to them.

So tomorrow we have Rick / Beth and Mark / Wendy arriving...if the French trrain strike does not intervene.

... Black Marl....strange stuff and occurs naturally. After a very nice omelette--finally some properly prepared eggs!--with salad, fries, and Orangina, we had a decision to make. It was pretty clear that the afternoon showers in the forecast for Gap were going to happen. ... places, some nice looking art places and reasonable tourist shops. We bought some terrine stuff plus some truffle paste type stuff.

Next stop was the Salagon musee et Jardin (museum and garden). We spent a few hours there, it was quiet relaxing and a massive garde. Also had many interesting exhibits.

Home in time for the "Football"....Australia did well but in this crazy game, it counts for little except pride. Well done ...
