    Day 15

... station. Our only option was McDonalds! Yuck! But it was what we had to do, there was no complaining! We quickly ate our meal and tried finding a taxi. Of course the one time we want a taxi, it is no where to be found. We walked all the way to the port, looked for about 20 minutes and still couldn't find a taxi! We began to panic since we really did need to get to the train station. I went into a hotel and asked if they could get us a taxi, but within ...

Back on the bus we head towards Old Town. This was our favourite part of Monte Carlo. It did have quite a few souvenir shops, sorry kids we bought nothing. The palace is also here and was built in the year 1191. It’s very scenic and pretty. The whole area overlooks the sea. ...

We eventually found Le Metropole and, after an embarrassingly long search for the front door (it was underground), we made our way inside ...

Best sleep yet! Air conditioning and proper bed and bedding was amazing. Breakfast at the hotel before we hopped on the bus to Nice. The traffic was insane and it took us over an hour to get there in the end! It was very much worth it though, it's beautiful. We began by walking the 213 stairs up to the Old Chateau which gives panoramic views of the coastline and we spent a while walking around taking photos. I was hoping to do a little bit of shopping, it's so hot and another couple ...

... in jewels and gold displayed in cases. The priest was conducting the service in the back of the church but inside a very secluded area that had a long display of golden paintings and colorful structures covering the back. Alexis and I saw on a side and witnessed most of the service, but after a while, we didn't know what was being said and for to not be disrespectful, we left quietly during a break.

Afterwards, we wanted to explore the older part of the ...
