      Nice - Day 1 & 2

... is my own, and my time has not been discoloured by silly fights over stupid things. For that I am grateful. I arrived in Nice around 7ish. I caught a cab to my hotel and got there just in time for the heavens to open. It didn't phase me as I had not intended to go out anyway, I just wanted to chill out and catch some z's. Tuesday however was a different story. I haven't made any big plans for my time in Nice as this is my "wind down" time at the end of the trip, which ...

More than just high-octane car fun.

Lucky for Steven, and everyone else on board the ship, there was a shop in Monte Carlo that had all the promise of being able to sell us a camera, it was called FNAC (pronounced FNAC). The home of FNAC is Le Metropole shopping centre. We wasted no time in seeking it out (without a map, of course). ... cooked it in, and you could serve yourself from the pan. Check the photos, even though they don't do it justice. Without a doubt the freshest, tastiest spaghetti Seafood I have ever had! Well back to the hotel for yet another food coma, we did plan to have a couple drinks but our bodies pretty much shut down. I also had an inkling that the Ukraine V France World Cup Qualifier may have been on, so it didn't take much to twist my rubber ...

... of a cute little town however when you get there, there really isn't that much going on. There were a few cafes along the promenade walk but nothing that looked entirely exciting. Ten minutes walk and you could reach the local beach (didn't look too bad) and the train station. Our plan was to catch the train to Monaco, a five minute train journey, little did we know that hundreds of others were planning to do the same.

The station was hugely congested and the queue ...
