      ... so instead of wait in traffic for 40 minutes to make a 10 minute trip we got ice cream bars from the gas station, and ate them over at the football stadium. We hung-out in Conor's office, listening to music while the traffic cleared and about 40 minutes later, made our 10 minute trip back home. You can't tell the full beauty of the Peille area from my pictures (iPhone picture quality is only so good), but please take my word for it, when I say it was breathtaking.

      ... Afterward we gained permission to walk through the lobby of the Monte Carlo Casino in its bejeweled opulence. Crystal chandeleirs, marbled pillars, men in ties, women in heels. We're not gamblers, but it was still fun to take a peek at where the top 1% gamble their riches. We would have needed formal attire to go any further, so with a shrug and a giggle, we made our way back to the city street.

      ... so retreat back up to La Turbie where it's quiet ended enough to park. Kitchens closed for lunch, so we're left with no alternative but desserts to fill the spot!       ... of small winding pathways that all ended up going to the top where there was a cactus garden. We payed the €6 each to get in and there were some interesting cactuses but the main thing was definitely the stunning view of the ocean and coastline.
