Still cold and grey when we packed up and left at 9.30, but just about dry. We opted for non-toll D roads all the way to La Suze – sur – Sarthe, which made for a pretty drive, but with lots of roundabouts. France does not do traffic lights at many crossroads, but does believe in roundabouts, at least we are ...
... at a great price. We've taken to having lunch as the French do for the main meal of the day as everything else is shut then anyway!
I think half the fun in being here was doing the ordinary everyday things so differently to the way we do back home. From shopping in the market stalls, buying our bread from the Bouloungerie, trying to go with the flow with the siesta time and figuring out which places are open or ...

I will put some photos below of the house and some of the places we have visited. J.
We are staying here for another day. We aren't sure yet where we will go after this. But there are several places that we are considering, including Orleans, Blois and Chinon. It was a watery sun this morning. Lunch with Sue and Tony in Les Rairies. It is so good to catch up with someone who has been a friend for over 40 years. The rain started after lunch and we quickly did the shopping we needed before heading back to Monty. We found when we were at a previous aire, ...
