A bit of back and forth reattaching the awning but we eventually cracked it! Then delish barbie of chicken and steak and bits before Sherlock Holmes movie and sleepy bed! Toilet breaks were enhanced by the beautifully clear sky and the very nearly full moon. Thursday The original plan for today was to visit the gardens in Villandry. But an annoyingly early wake up ...

A leisurely morning. Jon was up and sorted then did some guitar practice with Prego whilst I showered. A decent 80 mile drive and a 16 Euro toll. We arrived at Camping Le Pont Romain, ACSI 1458 at lunchtime so had to wait two hours for reception to reopen so we headed to a supermarket. We were pretty miffed that the book had claimed "a few kilometres from the town centre" and we are actually 5 miles from Le Mans. We looked on the satnav for any campsites closer ...

... as well as other unique vehicles on display.. There was also a good history of the race and you could walk out onto part of the circuit if you wanted to.

While Sam was at the Car Museum Alaina & I went to explore the old city. This started wtih a massive cathedral that you could go inside. It seemed huge on the inside too and had a guy playiing eerie music on an organ ...
