... to go to the Marche Noel. This is like the Christmas market of France. It’s a normal market but it has specialties of Christmas, like roasted chestnuts, which are totally awesome J We tried samples of frois gras, tapenade and chocolate and left with some of each for lunch. Before leaving we looked at the petit crèche, or nativity scenes, which are majorly huge here. Then we finished the marche with the guignon or traditional Lyonaise puppet ...
... the UK. When I arrived Lis had cooked me an amazing 3 course french-themed dinner! I was so spolit by her the whole time I stayed, actually. It was so nice to see an old friend and completely relax in her company.
The next day I got up with Lis, who had to go in to university fairly early for classes. I headed to the Musee de Beaux Arts, via some great shops and a stop for a hot chocolate which came in a little jug and was so rich and dark I couldn't finish it! The museum was ...
... women. Basically this says that we are all different and that no women are the same and that they all don't fall into the stereotype I am about to talk about.
So I have always been the impatient one in the family. It was Alysha who had more patience with Jenna and it was Alysha who could keep her mouth shut to my mother and people in general. I am not ashamed that I speak my mind, I am proud but I admit that it wouldn’t hurt to have more ...
... his methods can be adapted a bit but I can now see that I was misreading his behavior. I although made it clear that I felt at times that he treated me as a $ sign and it hurt my feelings so he should take that into consideration.
We went on to talk about the things I had always hated to discuss, like asking for money, and how I felt uncomfortable just hanging out and doing nothing. We tackled every issue and all agreed that communication ...
... I am well aware that’s TMI-too much info, but well while I am sharing my innermost personal thoughts with my friends and family why not talk about my innermost medical problems too?!
So I have a month long medication I have been given to help clean me out. It takes that long I guess. I am just looking forward to not looking pregnant on a regular basis, when I am SO NOT. I am looking ...
... but also a nice view of the Seine and free wifi so I decided to write a blog. This will probably be my only one, but you never know. Our plan is to get up early tomorrow and head down through Bordeaux (with a possible stop off if we feel like it) to San Sebastian. If we end up staying in Bordeaux, we'll probably stay for the night so we can try some of this wine stuff I keep hearing about. But who knows. I'll let you know the outcome if I write again. Bonsoir!
Rouen, Normandy, France claesch... with household dilemmas and solutions, we've been establishing a sort of routine. Kyle takes the metro to the university everyday and sometimes I join him when I need an internet fix. Unsecured WIFI doesn't exist here. In the evenings and on the weekends, we walk through our neighborhood and buy groceries. We cross the Seine and check out the happenings in old town. We watch fireworks, play cards, and dash through the rain. Three times since ...
