... beams on the ceilings. It also had aircon, which meant we slept comfortably. Spent the afternoon walking around the walls and streets. It's a really pretty village and well worth a stop. Interestingly, there's a bas relief of a town hero on the main gate, thumbing his nose and baring his buttocks at the enemy. Month Python obviously didn't come up with the idea. Tomorrow we leave France and travel into the Mosel region of Germany. It's been ...

Today we were spending all day at Europa Park. It is a theme park that is divided into different countries. There is a section for France, Germany, Italy, Portugal, Spain etc. Each section has different rides and the food and design of the buildings relate to the country. We had tried to book there but ...

Unfortunately it was still drizzling when we arose. So much for it being beautiful weather today. Maybe we wouldn't be able to go up to the Alps after all.

Eli and I went downstairs to have breakfast. We procured our toast and cereal (for me) and Eli went to ask the lady ...

... on one side and a high dike between us and the Rhine on the other. As it was still a road through a greenspace, there was only the odd car. However, I have to say it became very boring in spite of being quiet and easy cycling. The scenery was unvaried for kilometers - the woods on one side, the high dike on the other with no view of the river and the paved road ahead.

Later, after finally finding a Eurovélo 15 ...
