... up to us and we all struck out down the last 800metres through the lower forest and gorge. Never been so glad to get off the mountain, the walk was epic, and my thighs and calf muscles are still as sore as hell. It was overall a 3 1/2hr walk down. I did mention to my family that we could have taken the perfectly good train down the mountain.

Allan left me to explore the river, though most of that time I spent in the architecture, art and graphics bookstore. I checked out all the funky restaurants and bikes around the river. The city around the river in very clean and pedestrianised and hardly touristy at all.
