The ruined castle at Tintagel is only about 35 miles from Clovelly. Along the way we passed through Boscastle, which I have only seen on television, usually with a terrifying flood ripping through the middle of village and rescue helicopters hovering overhead. Dear all, We are in Plymouth tonight and head off to Stone Henge (again) and then to London. Then once we arrive at our hotel we will get ready to go out to the West end theatre area of London to see play War Horse! Gales and rain overnight meant for not so much sleep. Then up early to get ready before Jo and Irf picked us up and took us to the airport. So nice going from Exeter but it is certainly the poor relation to Bristol - so small. Off we go to our B&B. We are only here one night on route to Portsmouth. In the morning we take a walk down by the sea. They have a nice little pedestrian area where you can stroll along as well. It is another nice day and the dogs are all out playing in the surf. Dogs are prohibited from the beach from May to September, but it is October now and it is play time for puppies.

... outline on hill in Westbury, Wiltshire) - on our last day in England we drove over and saw a white horse that was carved into the side of a hill. They cut the grass and the rock underneath is chalk so it showed a white horse. The hill was very steep and Alexander slid down the horse but we were lucky he didn't go all the way down the hill!
