We stayed here 3 nights and the location is simply ideal. 400m to Times Square and basically in the middle of the Theatre district. Plenty of options for dining and shopping as well as sightseeing.
Nice little French wine bar on 8th around the corner named Lybane Wine Bar & Restaurant.
    Would thoroughly recommend staying here.

OMG,What has the world come to!!! And a headache for Carol that could be sleep or red wine related. Man, what a big day. Got back to sleep and woke at 8.10am. Unheard of. …

Today we walked to Time Square, we looked a huge Toys R Us. It had a huge carousel that you could ride in the middle of the shop. We went to Grand Central Station and Madison Square Garden- where they play sports and put on shows (it's not a garden). We met another family from traralgon in New York.

Before we left Philadelphia we had the opportunity to spend a few hours in the old part of the city. We began with a tour of Independence Hall where the declaration of American Independence was created and signed in 1776. The hall itself is quite small but is not surprising as it happened so long ago. We chose to end the tour early due to the awful guy giving us the tour but it was good to see where it all began. We also get the chance to see the Liberty Bell which rang out ...

... There was a nervous moment when Adam had swiped the two children through and was unable to swipe the parents in and the children were being drawn toward the breakdancers busting moves to Michael Jackson. All's well that ends well, we made it to the children, boarded the F train and somehow ended up in Little Italy for pasta and a well earned glass of red. Too tired to function, Katie determined we catch a cab home - wise owl. A wicked day.
