I feel like there is so much more to organize, so much more to do... Ran a few errands today, but actually I am all set. Packing our stuff and trying to put it into the car we realized, that the car is too small... or do we want to carry to much stuff with us????Could be, but Alex would say that the only person with too much baggage is me. Perhaps he`s right but who knows about the weather the next time? To be prepared for every case I feel confident. Anyway, the car was cramed from the top to the bottom. We left Magdeburg in a very good mood in the afternoon, looking forward to have a great trip.

My backpack is already packed ... okay the usual 95% ;-) And of course there are too much clothes *hehe* Thanks god the train drivers stopped the strike for today (?). So just 8 hours to leave for Berlin Tegel. Cape Town - I'm coming and I'm looking forward to my first jump into the the Atlantic Ocean in this year :-))))

The Green Citadel of Magdeburg, completed in 2005, was the last project of Austrian artist/architect Hundertwasser. The pictures are worth thousands of words, so I'll just let you evaluate the building for yourself. One interesting thing: I had always wondered why it was called the "green" citadel when it is painted pink. Then, when I was placing the map pin for this entry and zoomed in on the building, I saw that the roof is completely covered with plants and grass. From above it is green!
