Awoke to a beautiful rainbow as I looked out of the kitchen window. Relieved that there was no bad weather to cause delays, a quick check to make sure I had vital things - money, chargers, passport, cake for Greg, crisps for Daniella - and it was off to the airport. ...

... but around Pointe du Hoc they kept it as it was. The depth of the craters, the force it would take to make them, and the number of them made you feel like it was a miracle anyone survived. Truly amazing.

We ate lunch in what was a bedroom at a German command post. It was in this quiet, little building in this quiet village that this older French gentleman owned. He served lunch upstairs and on the main level, he had put together a bit of museum. It ...

... I've been going with the "just suck it up, damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead!" attitude for a while. Every time there's a little explosion or altercation, I think it will get better. But, it never does. It just gets worse and worse each week, which leaves me constantly stressed, on edge, tired, and physically sick.

I struggled for a long time with what to do about this. I've only ever quit two things in my life (high school basketball and college ...
