... of the battle. The English version of the Blue Angels, the Red Arrows will be there and it promises to be a wonderful show. Unfortunately, we will fly out an hour before the air show begins. So it was fun to watch some of the vintage planes practicing their aerobatic stunts over St Aubins bay today.
Back at St Helier we caught the city bus up to Andrew and Elaine's home.
For Barbara's birthday we all went for a lovely dinner at the Farm ...

I woke up to the quite terrifying noise of something coming through my window. I jumped out of bed and saw the cats on the window still with one cat already in my room. I scared them away so I wouldn't die from my cat allergies before the day even began! Today was a just relax and enjoy Normandy type of day. ... order, and sorting them by sender, I had to stop myself. Oh, by the way, shout out to both of my littles who send the best/most awesome correspondence ever. Their letters have meant so much to me over the past half year. :)

Wednesday was one of the worst Wednesdays thus far. Not sure what was going on with the girls, but they kept fighting all day. We had to eat both meals in separation and that afternoon they ended up fighting (literally hitting) each ...

I've been in France for four months, and until November 22, I never once wished I was home instead of here. But as I stood in the kitchen, struggling to turn a baguette and vegetable broth into dressing, knowing that the majority of people I love and care about were a ocean away, and listening to Sophie ***** about how she didn't want to eat anything I made because it was healthy, I wished I was back in South Carolina.

I haven't missed home at all until the holiday season. ...
