    ... started well sun out third day went on to Vouvray good site in middle of town quiet. Got bikes out Wednesday to go to Tours.     The first part of my trip took me to Amboise, nestled in the Loire Valley. The drive reminded my of The Netherlands, it was so flat and green, you could see for miles around. Covered in beautiful Chateaux's with acres of vineyards the valley is a special place.

    ... The bottom floor of the house had models of some of his inventions that were pretty awesome to look at. The gardens weren't that pretty, I think because the winter got rid of all the flowers and for a change it was raining. A cool part of the gardens was the working models of Da Vincis inventions.

    ... through the hills passing by pretty villages. Probably the most notable place we passed through today was Chaumont-sur-Loire which again had its own chateau overlooking the river and gardens that are open from April to October. We are saving the rest of our chateau energy for tomorrow so did not stop at this one - are just so many chateaus one can see!
