... here way back when. I love the story of the centuries ago Archbishop who had the palace built and lived there with his mistress and 15 children! In Search of a Fortress: I decided to attend a Mozart Concert and a dinner in the fortress for Friday evening. I gave myself lots of time to get to the Old Town, so that I could wander and explore my way to either walk up or take the Funicular (cable car). I did both actually - walked most of the way up in the afternoon, stopping ...

The play was about the life of Maria Ward - she originally came from England. As a catholic nun she sought out to educate the ...

... the city and see some of the sites, and try some delicious chocolate!! YUM! I also had the chance to hike a bit around Hoher Göll. This mountain is actually the same mountain as Hitler's Vacation home. I must admit there is something certainly disturbing about how tourist-y this place is. There is no doubt a strong curiosity the people have to come and visit the place where Hitler came to relax, and it seems odd to me that that seems to be the main reason ...

... so instead of walking up to the fortress and back down again we should catch the cable car - Hannah's contribution).  We then headed back home exhausted! The next day was much more relaxed (a sleep in) and then we headed to Hellbrunn Palace to see the trick water fountains.  Hannah had read some reviews and we ensured our nice camera had his raincoat on before we went inside!!  The palace was the summer holiday destination for the rich and famous in the 1600's ...
