Hermannswerder 30 Potsdam, Brandenburg, Germany, 14473, 49-331-23-200
... I found the whole experience fascinating, albeit having to be in yet another government room listening to policy. The speaker was very accomodating and even asked me what I thought of the EU and I spent the next 10 minutes having to ask questions myself to 40 German and French onlookers. My question was what Germany's position was with Turkey wanting to join the EU and what it needed to ...
Potsdam, Brandenburg, Germany ashlmc... and the buses, if you can work out which one you want, were all packed anyway. The situation is compounded by the geography of the city. The Reichstag/Brandenburg gate area, the Museum Insel (Island) where the main museums and galleries are and the new Cultural Centre, where the concert halls and galleries are, are not served by U- or S- Bahn, whilst the Hauptbahnhof, Berlin's new, ultra ...
Potsdam, Brandenburg, Germany oldagetraveller...
Berlin, Germany carovachon... tiers of red seats, some part of my subconscious thought we were in the Regal Edgemont Theatre near our home back in Pennsylvania. I semi-expected to walk out of the movie and find myself in the parking lot behind Genuardi's, right off West Chester Pike. Instead we emerged to find ourselves in a massive indoor space near the Potsdamer Platz subway station in central Berlin, where we rode the long escalator into the cold Berlin rain.
Berlin, Germany oneyearaway... obviously without the people they were to be with. You see, everyone was traveling the trains in a group of five using one ticket. In short, the rain starts, we took cover, were two off the group took cover else wares. Then after the storm when the people pile out of the building I lose two more of the group, and no I am not the one with the ticket. I do manage to get back to camp and immediately I am asked by Agnesa, "wheres Tripie"? I had lost her professor.
Berlin, Germany skip2938... I was not however interested in shopping for clothes as they were so I decided to find my way back to the hotel using the subway. I wandered around Berlin for a bit, through the busiest part of town trying to find my way out. I found a part that I had been to the year before, I remembered that the U2 connected to Potsdammer Platz and from there I could potentially find my hotel again. After walking and looking for landmarks that were close to my hotel, I was ...
Potsdam, Brandenburg, Germany destructogrl... the kilo. Next week. And this week? Well we have no Uni so I am trying to work out the Visa and everything. Ahh stupid stupid forms and a million things you need to do. Subject choices are slowly killing me too. Stupid stupid subjects. I should have just gone to a german commune and learnt the language from the hippies. Then I could say useful things like `can I tie-dye these pants?´ and `the cops are here´instead of ...
Berlin (still), Germany sally.milner... get just hammered. The guy must have been a porn star judging by his so named ´porn stache´ and the less I say about the female the better. At one point he was obviously saying lets go...while she just said in a whinyish voice ´neeeiiiiiinnnnn.´ But did we let this take away from the hockey game? Heck no is what you should have answered. Period one, a giveaway by the oilers....BOOM! Goal for the hurricans.... Haha I bet you thought i was going to give a goal by goal rundown ...
Berlin, Germany dangerchristoph... of visiting Landshut and in fact had never even heard of the place until just before we left for this trip my mother told me she was born there and her parents were married there. So we thought we would check it out and see if there were any statues of these events or streets named after her. Maybe a plaza. It took us three trains, a plane and a bus plus a thirty minute walk with our luggage but we eventually made it to Landshut. There better me a statue of my mum after all this effort.
