We later moved to Koblenz, downstream from Boppard. Once again, a nice hotel on the river. This is a larger town where the Rhine and Mosel rivers meet. In some ways, life from 1914 is unrecognizable to us, but the chilling thing is, more often than not, we can recognize ourselves in it, and these photographs really help you to experience that.
