Today we cruise into Corfu, Greece. It is a beautiful sight as we enter the harbour. Corfu town is shown as Kerkyra and is the capital of Corfu island. It is the third largest town on Corfu island. Corfu has over history been ruled by the Venetians, the French, and the British, and each occupier has left their own mark on the town. It is the only town in Greece with a cricket pitch! We stopped at the port of Corfu. The only way to really get around the island is to take an excursion. At least it was for us. We were going to see a Monastery in the village of Palaiokastritsa and to the village of Gastouri to visit the 19th century Achilleion Palace.

... way of email and Facebook and especially with the holiday. Happy Thanksgiving! We found our Corfu taxi driver immediately and headed off. Her name was Chrysa and her English wasn't too bad. We saw so many things that I'm not sure I can begin to remember it and especially the spelling for sure. We toured most of the island driving 80 km + through extremely windy narrow roads to remote areas that can't be accessed by bus. ...

... in Albania. The government kept it and put it on display as a spy plane so that they (the Albanians) would realize that their Communist government was protecting them from the wicked West.

The views were lovely up here with the sun shining on the snowy mountains on the other side of the river and the town tucked into the hillside. Gjirokastra is also known as stone town because everything is made ...
