Culvers ice cream was great and we enjoyed time talking and eating in their cool restaurant.We didn't see fireworks but that was ok!
The restaurant was closing and we felt bad still being inside so we finished up, went outside, did a few family pictures and said our goodbyes.
We had a great day, did a lot of fun things, spent special time with family and survived the heat!
... place but it was closed today. Drove around the deserted town-is it Mother’s day, the heat, a weekend or is the town really deserted?? Then to A & M Pizza in Florence. I have not had a good Philly Cheese sandwich since my last time here, over 2 years ago. And it is huge, fresh made bread and gooey filling! ... took 45 minutes. I was home and not really awake but couldn’t sleep either so just did nothing for the rest of the day. His flight was NOT non stop - but he did not have to change planes. He stopped in Kansas City and St Louis but no changes. He called from St Louis and ask me if I know what I had booked him on!!!! Yeah-the only choice if he did not want to change planes! He called about 6:30 his time to tell me he was home. I am going to have the Tortellini ...
... tea and chocolates. Douglas, (my host father) also likes chocolate. I think we will get along! :) I will have to find a couple of gifts for them to bring to Peru! Of course I responded back with a million questions! So hopefully I hear from her again soon.
