We've been to Heidi country!
... in Germering late afternoon after a journey (including a few rest and driver swap stops) of 5 and a half hours. Pleased to be able to spend some time with Laura before we went to a local Tavernna for our evening meal. Great meal of pasta and pizza with Bavarian beer and wine. Annoyed they would not accept our travel Master Card as we had been told it would be acceptable everywhere.

going back the first week in October to visit for the last few days of

... but it was mostly old men with too little shame. It is odd to think of surfers in Munich, but there is a rapid on the river in the park that forms a surfable wave. We sat for a while and watched them take turns; it was one of the coolest things we have seen yet (Video coming when I can get it uploaded). My Oktoberfest experence.
... I pointed out various sights as we passed them and got my group to Hofbrauhaus without any issues. Hofbrauhaus is one of Munich's most famous breweries. I had shared a beer with my parents here in August but we decided to salvage the night would require we get our own beers. I enjoyed a Dark Radler, dark beer mixed with lemonade.
