    So we arrive at Oktoberfest nice and early - 10.10am just 10 mins after opening so we could ensure we got a seat! Wasn't a problem at all though as there was heaps of empty places. Our first tent was pretty uneventful, they didn't even have the band going!     ... band was playing. I ventured upstairs and the two upper floors were also fairly busy, although the large room on the top floor was only about a third full. There was a somewhat unenthusiastic band playing there also. They would play one song, chat among themselves for a few minutes and then play the next song.
