It had a very high quality tone, probably not as populist as some of these ceremonies with Stephen Hawkings’ messages, Shakespeare from Sir Ian McKellar, and opera singers. It was amazing to think that this man chosen for such an important “role” had not so long ago been in our district. I thought they were wise to give Miranda the girl star of the show an umbrella, but I don’t think she needed it for the elements.
