... five or six blocks from the hotel. It is indeed a stunning subway, not your drab and dreary concrete structure, but beautifully tiled with mosaics on the ceiling. From the photos I had seen it is truly stunning, but it would seem you had to buy a ticket to be going somewhere for the rest of that beauty to be revealed. I was not going anywhere so missed that opportunity.
