... out various locations where the film was shot and since it will be celebrating its 50th anniversary next year, Salzburg is really drawing a lot of attention. Salzburg is also famous as the birthplace of Mozart, and everywhere you looked, there was a figure head of Mozart, although he wasn't a very good looking guy. Salzburg had a charming Christmas Market, which specialized in selling apple strudel. Austria prides itself in chocolate and pastries with cream. ...

... since September and won't reopen until May so the tour groups had to get there crystal fix at the store in Innsbruck. It is really quite a large store with some magnificent pieces.

... had a pumpkin curry that was very fall appropriate and delicious and my goulash which I had low expectations of thanks to the name was in fact amazing.

We continued to just mess around in little shops and wander a bit, coming across the New Town Hall, a magnificent gothic building at the edge of Marienplatz. The name itself puts things into a bit of perspective because this “new” building is the one that has been occupied by the city government ...

On the road to Austria via Liechtenstein. Bern tells us that today is brought to us by the letter "S" .... Swarovski, Schnitzel , Strudel and Schapps :) We drove through some stunning countryside with soaring mountains and rolling green hills before stopping at the Liechtenstein capital of Vaduz. A really quaint little town with some interesting sculptures in the town square. Overlooking the town is the palace of the royal family. We had ...
