On our last night in Venice we went to see Vivaldi's Four Seasons, performed in a small concert hall. The musicians were amazing. When the concert was finished we had to walk through St Marc's Square which had decided to flood while we were in the concert. So we rolled up our pants and took off our shoes and walked through the flooded Square. This morning started with an early breakfast and boat ...

... the sheer volume of people and we just felt like we were doing it because that's what tourists are "meant" to do - so we bailed and went to the Vittoria restaurant for lunch instead. It was superb, the pasta was fresh, Jess said it was one of the best pizzas she's had in Italy, it was extremely good value (for Venice), and the front cover of the menu tells the story of who started the restaurant, his children, their children, who the current owner is and so on. It was all very ...
