Another family from Sydney has come over but only for one month. There are 4 kids: 2 girls and 2 boys. The two girls are in grade 12 and 8(?) and their names are Phoebe and Gabi and the boys are in grade 11 and nine years old. I can't remember their names.

Driving is just unbelievable here. The bigger the vehicle, the more right of way you have. So trucks can just cross a freeway anytime they like. People want you to honk the horn, it is polite to honk the horn - it lets others know where you are. So it's so noisy. People walk across freeways. ... squished into the back of a van and hoped that the door wouldn't fall off. We were driving aroung the round about and we saw at least three trucks with people sitting on the back - on top of all the goods. Two of the people were even asleep.

Wir bemerkten schnell, wie der Verkehr hier läuft: es gibt keine Reglen - nur Hupen, beispielsweise, wenn man um eine Kurve fährt um allen entgegenkommenden Fahrzeugen, die nicht in Sichtweite sind zu signalisieren: Ich komme! Bald kamen uns dann auch die erste heiligen Kühe zufrieden und in dem Höllenverkehr völlig entspannt mitten auf der Fahrbahn entgegengetrottet.
