Para ver mais destes animais, juntamente com um belo pôr-do-sol, muita gente desloca-se ao templo de Uluwatu, montado no topo de uma grande arriba que desce quase verticalmente até ao mar. Aqui, os bichos assumem novo papel: não atacam os turistas, mas roubam-lhes tudo o que conseguirem, tudo o que lhes suscite o interesse (que parece ser muito diversificado). In het nieuwe jaar richting Bangkok, vanuit daar naar Myanmar (heb besloten dat ik dat land toch ook wil gaan bekijken), terug naar Bangkok, door naar Noord-Thailand en dan alsnog Laos en Cambodja en dan vanuit Bangkok door naar Australie. ... loopt de tijd tegen 1 uur en
gaan we dus maar weer naar de receptie waar we zo zullen worden opgehaald voor
onze sunset tour. Om goed 10 minuten over een komt de bus het terrein op rijden,
we hadden schijnbaar weer een kleinere vandaag, na het nodige wachten op het
kantoor gingen we om goed kwart over 2 dan eindelijk op weg via Denpasar naar
Mengwi waar we eerst een tempel zullen gaan bezichtigen, onderweg ernaar toe
hebben we het drukke ...

... round Ayuthayya on our rented bikes like kids looking at all the temples and ruins and loving the feeling of having your own transport and free to go where you wanted when you wanted, also Nong Kai the border town along the mekong on the Thai side of the Thai/Lao border where we visited the weirdest park full of Buddhist and Hindu fusion sculpture and cycling along the motorway to get to it. It was a weird and wonderful place to say the least!!
