          ... br> On our way back along the lanes we passed a rather impressive mini-golf course and with knowing looks jumped out to commence the ‘Smith Sandwich Open’ in the glorious sun.

          With 18 holes to complete over an assortment of bridges, churches, streams and even a Moby Dick whale, the game was on!

          ... felt like rush hour at home. You wonder is it an accident or what and no as usual you get to a point and there's nothing. We saw some absolutely beautiful countryside. I've included some of the pictures from our drive some good some not so good since almost all them taken from a moving vehicle.           ... most unexpected visitor we've had is a large turkey which paraded in front of us when we were out on our deck. It eventually flew off into one of the trees.
          The nice warm weather has come to an end with rather more extreme weather than we expected with high winds and rainstorms, and Hurricane Joaquin threatening to come up this coast. We're heading out to Boston for 3 days then down to NYC from there.

          ... rain, which gave us another flavor of the magic places, we read about when JFK was our 35th president.

          Observation: Living out west all our lives, we had no inkling of the places we studied in Bud Murray’s American History class! What a blessing to be able to experience them now! We are driving up the Cape today, headed to Nantucket tomorrow and I can’t wait for Plymouth Rock on Wednesday!

          ... Said to Rod sth at I really didn't want to see anymore museums - and he agreed. Drive back to the B&B via cheap $ supermarket to buy toothpaste and pretzels. Opened a bottle of prosecco and had it looking out onto the ocean. It was calm. Then decided to walk down to take some photos. Came back around 4.30pm, ready to head for dinner.
