    ... Century English Village with actors playing the parts of the settlers. We also saw the Plymouth Rock which was entirely underwhelming!

    We are enjoying the autumn colours and the opportunity to be near the water.

    Eleanor 's highlight was dragging us down to queue up to go to the Friends set, Central Perk. We didnt need to line up for 4 hours as on other days, but we arrived at 7:30 AM and was in at 8:00. She loved it and took time to see it all.

    Plymouth is so full of history, so we had to stop on our way to Boston. Plymouth was a short drive of about 30 minutes from Cape Cod. We recommend stopping at the visitor center - they will match the most important things to see with the time you have. Great people.     ... which means they haven't changed for millions of years. On the way back to the holiday house we drove past lots of beach houses and they were all a similar style being grey colours and made from shingles. It was very interesting to see Cape Cod. Josie

    ... Before we left essex, Rod chatted with a tourist from Boston and be said to go to Nantucket and not Martha's Vineyard, as he said it was nicer. Problem is that it takes 1 hr to drive to Hyannis and the 1 hrs speed boat ride, whereas Martha's Vineyard is closer. Will decide tomorrow what to do.
