We have heard so much about Cape Cod we decided to check it out even though it was somewhat out of our way. Cape Cod is a peninsular extending 60 miles into the Atlantic Ocean, its a long drive to the Cape Cod National Seashores Park, but we're so glad we came.

      Hmm I’m craving Sandwich?

A travel blog entry by ktchris on Oct 18, 2014

... Cod was an island. Well originally it wasn’t an island but ships got tired of driving around it so they dug a big canal, built a bridge and an island was born! Human ingenuity is amazing sometimes. We stayed at a fantastic little campsite in Sandwich. It was a nice change of pace from all the brightly lit and loud Wal-Mart’s we had been staying at recently. After breakfast in the hotel, we began our full-day excursion to Martha's Vineyard which started with a fairly long bus ride to Woods Hole to catch the ferry. It was ...

In weariness and painfulness in watchings often, in hunger and cold they laid the foundations of a state wherein every man through countless ages should have liberty to worship God in his own way. May their example inspire thee to do thy part in perpetuating and spreading the lofty ideals of our ...

Day 1 - Falmouth, Cape Cod

A travel blog entry by evie033 on Oct 27, 2013

... Before we left essex, Rod chatted with a tourist from Boston and be said to go to Nantucket and not Martha's Vineyard, as he said it was nicer. Problem is that it takes 1 hr to drive to Hyannis and the 1 hrs speed boat ride, whereas Martha's Vineyard is closer. Will decide tomorrow what to do. Ate at an Italian osteria which was not that good, not bad, but nothing to write home about compared to other meals we've had in the US. $130 including wine and ...
