... crowds of tourists into the falls, we were keen to get on and experience it for ourselves. Not realising there was a Canadian version, we were heading for the famous Maid of the Mist, which launches from the US side of the river. After a quick stop at the duty free shop (where we bought a couple of cheap bottles of Canadian red wine) it was across the Rainbow Bridge and the border back to US soil. ... closes for a bit of a Siesta until 1.45pm...) oh wait....... It's Remembrance day dumbarses, it's a public holiday...... It's closed......all post offices are closed......... Well let's head on to Canada then!!! Driving down the road a bit further and we hear some strange noises coming from the third row of seats!! Thank God we had kept Coopers little puke bucket and I'd packed it in his Halloween lolly bag, as he'd done well to grab it himself........ So the windows ...
... and we spun around for over an hour taking in the different scenes of the falls. Our goal is to dine in each revolving restaurant in the world. We now have ticked this one off.
We ended the evening with a glass of wine over looking the falls at the bar of the Marriott.
Tomorrow we are planning to drive around the lake nearby and seek out some wineries and maybe some shopping.

This morning we boarded our train toward Niagara. It was a good trip, along the Hudson river, Lake Erie, and the Erie canal. We were surprised that the land is really flat, with lots of trees, some forest and lots of water lying. There were lily pads so we guess the water is permanent. The trees are starting to change colour, but not quite enough to make a nice photo yet.

... Of The Mist II picked him out of the water, and above the falls, his 17 year old sister was rescued by on lookers before she went over as well. The driver of their boat tragically drowned. Don't tell me a higher power wasn't looking out for that boy, because surviving that was nothing short of a miracle. I enjoyed a late dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe after this, filling in time until the fireworks I'd been told were on Friday and Sunday nights at 10pm were to begin. As ...
