... down and ears were covered....... Poor Cooper had a tooth ache last night and was fairly well drugged up so even though he crashed and slept solid he's pretty tired today. It was ok but apparently not as good as Cave of Winds would of been, as Stu kept reminding me (with his bottom lip out!!)With the long ride back to Boston we made our way back to collect the car. With something happening at customs it took us three times as long to get back over to the USA, longer than we have spent in most airports! Only 7 hours to drive at least it was only one road! ...
Yesterday Addie and I set off for our first major road trip together. We've done a couple of weekend trips, but nothing quite like this. 15 days, visiting the shores of all 5 Great Lakes.
I knew I wanted to do another road trip this fall, and when I was perusing the map, I decided on the Upper Midwest. When I came east two years ago, I was struck by how beautiful the center of our nation is, and how little I knew ...
... It was quite quaint, but much like other little towns. There were pretty buildings and gardens, and a few little shops, but not much else. This was where we had lunch, and I had a maple tart for dessert - yum!
After lunch we finally made our way down to the table rock area to view the falls. I won't say that the falls are pretty, because that word, just like my pictures, doesn't do them justice. I took a brief video of the falls that I will try ...
