... Hopefully use up enough mouthwash and peanut butter before we get on a plane to Malta. I can't live up to Lynn's blog standard. I don't promise pix of every meal we consume. However, I will do my best to showcase the wine!!! And David, of course. No not my husband, the marble statue in Florence!!!

... Hwy 41 on the Tamaimi Trail which features canals beside the road in which the gators lie awaiting hapless motorcyclists whom unwittingly pull over and stop to pee.

We shall see. I am very excited to see one of these magnificent reptiles. I am staying 2 days in KW, so we'll be taking a day off of riding, and hanging out on the beach.

... company run by native Indians and had an amazing air boat trip across the swamps. Our guide found plenty of alligators hidden in the undergrowth. Another amazing experience. We hit the road again and did the 130 odd miles to Naples, a very upmarket beach town. We checked in to the hotel, changed and went down to the bar and sat watching the most incredible sun set over a white sandy beach. Beer,, wine, sunset and live music.... a wonderful end to a truly amazing ...

... cruise lecturing. Finally, Ft Lauderdale, and an ugly example of the US Federal budget mess. Immigration officers cut back, working to rule, and 2 1/2 hours to go through immigration/customs. 2800 very upset cruisers, cursing in many languages. Many of whom missed their connecting flights. We were very fortunate, and merely (finally and complaining) hopped a cab to Avis at Pier 66 to pick up our rental. Upgraded to a new Ford Escape, so ...

... get a really good glimpse...I immediately got the heebyjeebies again so we finished our lunch and headed back. And who should be waiting for us, but the very same large sharpe toothed behoimouth, luckily he decided to go in the other direction so we were able to get ourselves and the canoe out of the water without any dramas. A very nice way to spend a few hours.
Tonight we're having bacon stew, we'll sit around the campfire, drink wine and sing ...
