... after dark, we felt that we should make it back as there as town bylaws do not allow any neon signs or street lights in some areas so dark is dark. Next stop tomorrow will be Jupiter, Florida. It will be nice to get back to my stomping grounds and see our old condominium on Singer Island along with the home that I once owned in Jupiter. It'll be interesting to see what they look like now after 35 years or so.
... grass baskets, fine furnishings from the elaborate homes, farm equipment, Civil War artifacts. Apparently life changed drastically in Edisto after the Civil War. I will get more into that later, after our trip to the Museum.
The Bradford's and Nonno are at the Island State Park and the Bevan's are strolling the beach. I am catching up on my blog before I forget anything and putting together a St. paddy's Day dinner. Better get on it, until tomorrow....
... we decided to go on toward Savannah. I had started reading a book called "Catherine's Cross" that I picked up in the lobby area the day before. When we checked out I asked the woman where I could get a copy, since I was not finished reading it. She told me to take the book and mail it back when I was finished. Wow - talk about Southern hospitality!!
... and palms shade the waterview campsite. We spend two nights here replenishing our spirits and energies. WE spend our time taking long walks on the strand, eating, drinking and relaxing. It is nice to finally take advantage of our time along this coast. The weather starts cold and breezy, with lots of winter clothing in evidence on the beach.
