... we decided to go on toward Savannah. I had started reading a book called "Catherine's Cross" that I picked up in the lobby area the day before. When we checked out I asked the woman where I could get a copy, since I was not finished reading it. She told me to take the book and mail it back when I was finished. Wow - talk about Southern hospitality!!

We all spent the morning on the beach. It was the first ocean experience for the males in the family. My initial review- pretty, wet, salty, awesome. The boys saw the seashells and went collecting crazy. I got burned. We made a sea turtle out of sand and shells. A tiny crab was discovered. Then Mandy played Quinn's made-up game with seashells, ...
... and palms shade the waterview campsite. We spend two nights here replenishing our spirits and energies. WE spend our time taking long walks on the strand, eating, drinking and relaxing. It is nice to finally take advantage of our time along this coast. The weather starts cold and breezy, with lots of winter clothing in evidence on the beach.

Peggy calculated the cost of the trip for her, Joan and myself as $425/person. That included the condo, food, gas, and Savannah. Of course, I spent some money at Harbour Town and the Tanger Malls with my purchases.
