... patio with outdoor seating and were an easy 5 minute walk to the beach. Our condo came with a gym membership, too, which we took advantage of 3 times a week. We rented bikes for the month, and it was great to ride around, on the beaches and on the island-wide bike trails. One day, we loaded the bikes on the car and went to Sea Pines. Usually there is a fee to get into this area, but our friends Amy and Brett gave us a pass since ...

There are a number of walking trails along the wildlife drive but dogs are required to stay in the car for obvious reasons so we were only able to drive the loop. By mid afternoon we were leaving the refuge and on our way to Savannah.

The salt marsh was great this morning. High tide was early in the morning and the marsh was filled with water. Watched an anhinga swim around and dive and then watched a great egret curiously follow the anhinga around. The anhinga must have been ...

Well the sun that had been shining for weeks was nowhere to be seen when we got up on Saturday morning as the clouds covered the sky and as we started on our journey to Hunting Island the rain started to come down quite steadily. We found the market and bought some lovely fresh produce but it was rather damp – literally, so the live music that the website talked about was lacking and most people were staying indoors for obvious reasons. We ...
