... in Hope early afternoon and after checking into our motel we headed downtown to have a wander. Hope is a small town without much in the way of shops downtown, the kids were more than happy with the local park and were impressed by all the wooden chainsaw made statues dotting downtown. We enjoyed looking at the Fraiser River and imagined all the Salmon that apparently reside there. The kids were bugging us to return to the motel to try out the indoor swimming pool. ...

... by the moment. My stomach was in knots at the end of the trip, and I never remember having more eagerly awaited the end of the journey than on this jaunt.

We arrived at our campsite in the pitch dark but managed eventually to find a spot under huge cedar trees.

Yes. After that ride it was pretty appropriate that we arrived in Hope! Another beautiful place, nestled in a valley on a bend of the Fraser river.

... at them in another light they are actually “Magnificent”…so which is it…that is the question…One could argue for each description equally. So, in light of this I will say that they are absolutely majestic and astoundingly magnificent. I know, I know…but that is what I felt whilst I was among them…

We went through a lot of small towns, the one most prominent is called Hope. So, yes I have heard the joke ...

... lip balm and something for Katherine – although we could have bought apples in Princetown after collecting a couple of caches as a memory. We enjoyed a stall selling wooden signs as did the people laughing behind us. 'Techically wine is a solution' was my favourite and I also liked 'Coffee is OK to drink until it is acceptable to drink wine'.

At one spot we saw a cute bear peeping over the ridge with no explanation. A few kilometers along ...

We are not spiteful people, however, when a barking dog and idotic campers next to you keep you up, it kind of makes you hope for revenge. We figured we'd be up between 6 and 7am and that would be our opportunity for payback. Not that we were going to be overly loud, it would
just let the people around us see how low you can talk and still be loud enough to disturb you're
neighbours. Alas, the neighbours woke up first - there goes the plan! ...
