We went on an excursion to find a Safeways supermarket - by car. Had a good wander through the shop, looking at the various produce - all very interesting and lots of different things - many much cheaper than we'd pay at home, and some more expensive as well. This morning we packed up, had breakfast and headed towards San Francisco. We travelled in convoy as Ginny was going to drop her car off at Ingrid's in Oakland before carrying on. On Friday, the day after Thanksgiving, they have something over here called Black Friday. All stores have a massive sale on and everybody queues up outside shops to get the best Christmas deals (apparently it can even get quite violent at times when people start fighting over certain things, crazy Americans :-p)!
