    ... the gift shop and they had everything cathedral!! We also found a shop we had gone in last time that had official German "stuff" and I found the candle merry-go-round thingy mother had...I wanted to get one for our family tradition. So, that was a souvenir found!! They had many of the smokers like Sylvia cute. If I had a wall for knick knacks I would love to look at those treasures - our maybe ...

    ... in Trier. I am anxious to see if I can find the apartment building where I lived when my Dad was stationed there in 1957. I never forgot the address or its general location. Stay tuned.

    The weather has been staying mild and promises to stay so for a while longer. We are looking forward to our trip south and back to some of the old haunts (especially the gasthofs). We will photo some of the finer culinary delights.

    ... the Canadian Support Unit in Geilenkirchen. Dan and I served together in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia back in the mid-90s.

    Our next blog will feature some photos around their little town of Gilrath and of the Roach family.
    Apparently we can even FT from their home so once I post this blog, I may try a quick FT with some folks.
