... that is that phenomenal!! But basically that's like deciding to fly from Atlanta to Houston...by way of a 3 day stop over in Portland, Maine. Definitely not the most direct route, but we are betting that it will be well worth it :)

So with that all hammered out, it was time to dive into some research and whip up one (or maybe it's two or three) of my infamous spreadsheets. I have been combing ...

      Steam Day at Edgar

... slop! It was a real Yankee farming meet, with the locals in typical bib and brace overalls, caps and chewing straw! There were lots of Amish folk there in strange garb, and Mumsie and I stood out like dunnies in a desert - pretty obvious we weren't locals! Mumsie and I arranged to meet Greg and Jasmin in a couple of hours, and then went off for a wander - it was very difficult to get around and although it was a great display it is not really our thing - so we ...

Not leaving until the afternoon, we wanted to wait ...

... for a while, it poured a good shower. It bucketed for about a half hour, then we went to Port Sandy Bay restaurant for supper. Last year, when we went here I tried the pizza and disliked it. This year I tried the cheeseburger and disliked it just as much. The only good thing I have had in this restaurant is the deep-fried cheese curds :D.

Now I am just sitting in the camper relaxing.

      ... 4th.

Well unfortunately we ran into the little problem of a trip to Australia being a rather expensive endeavor to begin with. But when you throw New Year's Eve on top of it, we're talking "sell a kidney" type prices here. Alright, let's try a new plan and back it up to Australia Day - January 26. We'd still get some fireworks, it's still summer, it's close to my birthday, perfect! And well, it's still ...
