We got up this morning, had a light breakfast and headed to Manitowoc to meet my Aunt Carol, uncle Eddy and cousin Rich for brunch before heading to Ludington Mi. More to come later!

We finally moved on and we haven't even hit half of the continental states yet! What a big country this is. We headed to Wisconsin, famous for cheese! Our first stop was Appleton – not famous for apples – for the international premier of the film The Age of Stupid. This film is about climate change looking from a future perspective. An interesting, thought provoking film.

Well, I've started this travel blog a little prematurely, but I'm too excited to keep everything quiet. Trisha and I have officially started saving for our world travel adventure which will begin on the 6th of April 2010. Still deciding exactly where to start our trip and how it's all going to work out. All I know is that it WILL happen. 9 months to go. Until then this blog will help me organize my thoughts, ideas and potential travel destinations. Can't wait to get started.
... say that it was emotional and I'm glad it's over.
You see we had to make it to this damn ferry or we'd be behind schedule. If we fall behind schedule, we have less time with our dad who is flying to Michigan from Florida for two nights to see us. I guess matt knew when planning the trip that 113 miles is as lot to take on in one day, but he didn't take into consideration a possible oposing wind ...
Day 95 Minnesota - Wisconsin A quick consultation after breakfast and away we head, the destination was towards Lake Michigan, one of the Great Lakes. The distance on the map suggested it wouldn't be too far even though it is crossing a state line and across to the other side of Wisconsin. We set Mandy to take the freeways this time because we were a little tired of the endless fields of corn etc, Mandy did well and circumvented the twin cities of ...
Two Rivers, Wisconsin, United States popusa2008... time from the walk to enjoy touring. Since I'm ahead of schedule, I may take a Saturday off along with Sunday now and then. At the present rate, I figure I [would] be in NYC at least three weeks [too] early. So I guess I'll 'drag my feet' and visit loved ones and relatives along the way." I hope Loretta can keep Don from getting too near many more babies along the way. Otherwise, he won't see New York before the snow flies!

Chilton, Wisconsin, United States donstevenson... I moved 9 times in about two years! (Wauwatosa, WI to Milwaukee, WI; Milwaukee to Tashkent Uz; Tashkent to Bukhara, Bukhara to Vanadzor Armenia, Vanadzor Armenia to Dilijan Armenia. Dilijan to Milwaukee, Milwaukee to Buffalo Grove IL, Buffalo Grove to Chicago and then to another apartment in Chicago.) I still do a few things that I learned how to do in Peace Corps. I wash my clothes using a hand crank portable washing ...
Chicago, Illinois, United States lbmarekHey kids, so here we go! I HATE BLOGS ALREADY...it's such a STUPID word and a terrible concept...no one wants to read your inner monologue, seriously people. Also, this is especially hard for me because, as you probably know, I am NEVER serious, but I want to be in this JOURNAL (as I will call it because "blog" has now been removed from my vocabulary) so I can just get down the cold, hard facts. So there. Just as a little side note, you're only ...
De Pere, Wisconsin, United States jenkanz... I took that as a sign that I really didn't want to go back. I guess I never really got over Uzbekistan. Armenia was the country I had wanted and it turned into the rebound country. It treated me so well and I just couldn't stop thinking about the country that kicked us out. For the past 5+ months, I have been living with my parents and looking for work. A friend of mine from my Uzbek training group offered me her apartment to stay ...
Milwaukee, Wisconsin, United States lbmarek... Wisconsin. Well, I guess I'm just happy I was home during this journey through the twilight zone. I have no idea what kind of medical treatment I would have received in Jamaica, but I'm just glad to have my family near to take care of me. I want to wish you health and prosperity in this year 2006. Peace to you all. One Love, Jennifer p.s. Does anyone know what causes the appendix to all of a sudden rupture?? p.p.s. Pictures soon come
