    Sunny & clear:  17-38c Sorted out gear and started packing for Africa!  We fly out tomorrow morning, so it's finally about to happen!!  Long flight with three connections (ugh!!) and we don't get there until 7pm the following day (Friday) but there is a 7 or 8 hour difference.     I fixed dinner tonite (salmon & veges). After dinner went for a walk along the street in the warm setting sun.

    ... city's Chinatown and visit the City Lights bookshop, one of the most famous bookshops in the world.

    City Lights was a little disappointing, although it is famous mostly for printing banned books, and not necessarily for the shop itself. Coit Tower was pretty good, although the lift ride up and down was quite claustrophobic as they crammed 13 people into a lift which did not seem built for that many people.
