... in staying at the city centre hotel and the man said yes it's just at the back we can walk through this hotel. Off we toddle through the hotel and the back entrance to another hotel which wasn't quite as swish as the one we had walked through but not bad considering how much I'd spent on it!

Check in was amusing so I'm busting out Hindi sentences and the reception guys are fairly amused that a British passport holder can speak in Hindi it's ...

... bridge was being raised twice in quick succession for a couple of ships to pass through. It's hard for the kids to comprehend something that is five hundred or more years old but hey seemed to enjoy running along the ramparts and and down the stairs.

... happening around Hyde Park. He seemed to take all the back roads and I was amazed at how much traffic there was. There were cars and buses everywhere. A lot of the roads seemed to be quite narrow too. We eventually arrived at our hotel, The Regency. Because our flight was so early, our room wasn't ready when we got there, so we left our cases there and went out to get some lunch and go for a wander.

... I was going to ask to move rooms to a higher level if it was unbearable.

When we got back the hotel at about 4:30, I almost cried with relief when we opened the door to a much cooler room. We both lay down and set an alarm for 7:30 to get up for dinner. 7:30 came and went and Benny cursed and groaned at the alarm, turned it off and we went back to sleep. Next thing you know, it was Friday, and we had slept for 15 hours..
