OMG only 3 more days to go before we are off wheely bagging ( Geriatric backpacking)

we have now just about settled in the new house and are now off again.

Looking forward to travelling and hoping that you all will follow us and keep in touch...those of you who have been to the same locations feel free to tell us some good places to go !

write again when we have gone somewhere

Well here we are at a very nice site, all singing and dancing. Our own water and waste and TV point.

The showers and toilets all immaculate and piped music!!!

We have the trailer now thank goodness.

MONDAY 21ST SEPTEMBER 2009

Well not a lot yet to report on Newton Abbot we are just chilling out a bit.

Cycled into Newton Abbot today to have a look in the shops, same shops ...

Well a bit behind with the blog due to no connection so here is a quick update.
We booked into Middlewick farm for a few days before going to Dad's and Mo's for a few days whilst "No Fixed Abode" was away being fitted with a tow bar.
The farm site was very quiet and relaxing, full of sweet smells of dung and pig poop!!!!
Truck dog Poppy thought it was great fun chasing the chickens!!

Left Art & Thurza's about 11.45 and after lunch at the Dartbridge Pub not far from Totnes we arrived at Wayne & Julia's new pad at about 3 pm.

Beautiful sunny drive across from Somerset and a warn welcome as usual from the Stonehams.

Julia has just finished a sequal to Muddy Boots and after proof reading ...

... there is know way of identifying the others.
There was no street lights outside our caravan or to the lane that run along side it, so all i saw was 2 fights going on outside my van and heard a lot of screaming, until i realised it was my children being beaten up. My eldest had 4 lads on top of him!!!!

The caravan we were staying in was discusting. The small rooms were mouldy and damp ...

We arrived at Witheridge to spend some time with dad a Mo and collect the truck dog poppy! She had spent the week with them as it might have been too much excitement for her in Dorset.

We even got to sleep in the house in a real bed and have a BATH!! No we ...

... then fine, but I allowed 6 weeks and I am half way into that.
Maybee will have to have some work on her when I get back as so many things have either worked loose, broken or about to break.
swells have been the main problem the seas have been rather large around these shores and quite different to the solent, also distances, the shortest being 9 miles, apart from that the legs have ...

... but stunning views, the sun was shining and hid inside the harbour the reality of what was the other side, families all lining the walls looking at me in full wet weather gear, they in shorts and t shirts, wonder whats up with him, a bit overdressed.
But of course i wasnt I was still soaked from the jpourneyt, I called the Harbour master , yes no problems we can accomodate you,go to port and set your self up against the harbour wall.........OH NO NOT AGAIN!

Little Ted and his friends arrived at Heathrow airport. From there they drove back to Devon. Miss Williams checked her email and to the friends' delight, they had received an email from Barnaby, saying he would be flying home in the next few weeks. After a long journey and the exciting news Little Ted was exhausted so he curled up and went to bed.

... the old church). We headed back to Loveday's for naps and more garden time. Evie, Sue and Loveday went out to tea and afterwads we had a nice dinner and quiet evening at home.
