One of my first tasks was to apply for residency in Spain. Obtaining my NIE or "knee-yay" as it is pronounced in Spain has been quite a production! We had an entire session in Madrid about the NIE and how to obtain it. The rules of the NIE are as follows

Wrap up of my first full week!
... because we work at the school…it is basically an honor system. We were renting from Nati, whose daughter goes to the school. She did not want a downpayment, only 1/2 the months rent and she said that she would send a photocopy of the utilities bill to school with Adrianna and when she picked Adrianna up from school…we could pay! Isabel said that she will not do anything to cheat us, because her daughter goes to the school.

Nos vamos del norte, que alcanzamos a conocer una pincelada, pero que nos encantó...volvimos a comer con gusto, tal como ocurrió en Euzkadi, la comida ibérica...mmmm...que ya la amamos y esperamos encontrar de vuelta en Chile. Ahora, a tomar el bus hacia Barcelona, la ciudad del recuerdo, penúltima parada antes de la vuelta...serían unas 5 horas hasta la Estación de Sants...y 5.30 hasta la Estación del Nord...que emoción...reconozco todos los nombres....vamos a por ella!
