        ... said she has a PhD and has written a book about the paintings. She was tired from talking all day so I could just go in without paying but not to take any pics.

        Next door was the Icon Gallery which had also closed for the day. A couple was having their wedding pics taken here despite the rain.

        ... take a cab all the way? They said a direct cab is expensive at 400 MK ($8). Its cheaper to take a cab to Struga for 100 MK, then change and get another cab for 100MK to Ohrid.

        They told me to go out to the hotels and ask them to call for a cab. The hotel said there is also a bus every hour for 40MK ($1) but I had just missed ...

        ... br> The next morning we went into town and looked at one of the biggest trees. When Tato was young he used to hide in the centre where a hole was. Now the tree basically split and they put reinforcements to keep it standing. After a few shots we went to the car and drove to a Fort, I think it was called Ohrid fort but I can't seem to remember. Came back to the hotel for a shower and to work on the diary, most of it on the small balcony that is not a lake view. Don't like these hotels with a key to access the hydro, especially a day like today when I have two batteries to charge.
